Thanks to all our exhibitors and visitors. Another festival has flown by. The weather was kind; the rain stayed away but it was very windy!

Anglesey is proud to host an annual Oyster & Welsh Produce Festival. 2010 saw  the 12th festival take place but it was a very different event in the early years. It used to be an informal social event whereby vast amounts of local oysters & alcohol were consumed - Served with a strong music, singing and a Welsh and Irish dance offer. A  committee of volunteers was formed in 2000 to direct the event into the future. The aim was to broaden the appeal for non seafood lovers, and as a result a 'Welsh Produce  Festival' was introduced in 2000.

The festival is working to become  self financing,  and any surplus income  is re invested into the following year's festival. No dividends are taken by directors. There are no direct staff costs and no employees. The  festival organier's time is sponsored by Menter Môn.
